In Loving Memory of

Christine Ann Sokoll-Pervere Obituary

Christine Ann Sokoll-Pervere of Leander, Texas, passed away on June 6, 2026, at the age of 79 years old. She was born on December 4, 1946, in Seattle, Washington, and later moved to Massachusetts, where she grew up.

She worked at Baystate Medical Center for most of her career. She was actively involved with her son, daughter-in-law, and in the lives of her grandkids – an avid fan at all their activities, such as volleyball, soccer, gymnastics, and Friday-night teen Bible study. She was an exemplary grandmother who loved deeply. Likewise, Christine was a dedicated Texas line dancer, participating in up to three groups a week for over 15 years. Her neighbors knew her well, as she was always making goodies to share during the holidays and often lent a helping hand in practical life scenarios.

She is preceded in death by her father, Paul Michael Sokoll; mother, Wilma Frances Sokoll (Kerns); and brother, Michael Sokoll. She is survived by her son, Shane Michael Sokoll; daughter-in-law, Edna Sokoll; two grandchildren; and her siblings, Rose Shumaker (Sokoll), Doug Sokoll, and Dwight Sokoll.

Christine was a sincere and authentic follower of Jesus. She experienced the presence, transformational power, and love of God, which she shared with those around her. She was a huge fan of the TV series The Chosen and completed many devotional readings hosted on The Bible App. A week before her passing, she shared the following ten thoughts that reflected her salvation experience and her readiness to meet Jesus and the community of faith in the Heavenly City.

I feel peace

I am ready to go to heaven

I knew that a couple times before

I think it is soon

I knew something was coming

I thought it would be quicker

I think it is time to go

I don’t want you to feel bad

Now it’s peace

All is peace

The family would like to thank the Ascension Seton community of healthcare professionals for their care and compassion, which they showed our loved one in her final days.
